So The Short Second Of Bree Tanner was just released where I live and I bought it, this is what I thought.
My Review On The Short Second Life Of Bree Tanner;
I have just recently finished reading The Short Second Life Of Bree Tanner by Stephenie Meyer. I had already read Eclipse and watched it too and it was actually alot better for me reading the other mysterious side to Eclipse and the life of Bree, when she was a vampire because I think she is quite important to Eclipse and so was Riley. It showed both of there sides of the story more clearly. I had no idea seeing Bree in Eclipse that she had so much going on like she was a homeless human, she was abused and then developed a love life as a vampire. She was so angry when Diego, her friend was killed by Riley and Victoria and then Carlisle and Esme decided to take responsibility for Bree when she surrendered and told them she didn't want to fight. It was quite emotional for Bree considering how she was treated as a human living only with her abusive father because her mother left, she then ran away was homeless and was living off food in trash cans or stolen food. Riley then found her and took her to Victoria who changed her. Which she never deserved. As a vampire she became friends with Diego also a newborn and realised that he loved her, it was probably the only good thing so far for Bree. Not long after she planned to find out who Victoria was known as 'her', Victoria and Riley killed Diego and tricked Bree into thinking he was on look out so she would still fight. Bree knew eventually that Diego was dead and she was so angry with everybody. Although she was so angry and hated 'her' for what she did to Diego, she was determined to stick to Diego and her own plan and not fight the yellow eyes (The Cullens). So she surrenderred to Carlisle and so he and Esme decided to take her under there own wing. In the end Bree got punished for not wanting to fight, she never got a second chance at life. Bree side of the story was alot more emotional than Bella's point of view in Eclipse which I think matters, because it is implying that Bella isn't the only important person that needs protecting and once again she lives and Bree (the innocent one) unlike Bella, never got a chance like Bella did to prove that. The Volturi didn't offer Bree anything, Jane called for Bree to die that precise moment just after the battle with the Newborns. Carlisle did everything he could to pursuade The Volturi to let Bree live. But The Volturi Don't Give Second Chances. It was nice that if she did live she would have somewhere to go but she would have to adapt afterall she was urging to drink the blood of Bella Swan and Jasper wasn't keen on having her aboard and neither was Edward because Bree basically wanted to suck the life out of the girl he loved. I bet she would of got used to it though.
